Alessio Cerci’s Regret over the Decision Join Atletico Madrid
Hellas Verona new player, Alessio Cerci admitted that he regretted joining Atletico Madrid in 2014. He was more sorry after realizing at that time he was very hurting the supporters of Torino.
The Italian winger has been in Torino for three seasons before moving to the Spanish capital to play under Diego Simeone. Before moving to Ateltico, he was a favorite player of the supporters of Il Toro.
However, his decision to move to Sapnyol seems very wrong. There, he is very difficult to get regular play time and had several times lent.
“The story started badly from the beginning,” Cerci opened.
“I arrived in Madrid on September 1 without any preparation because Torino is slow to make a deal.”
“I have experienced many things, but I do not want to cause any controversy. However, if I can go back in time, I will not join Atletico. It’s a very damaging choice for me. ”
“I lost a lot of levels of humanity, the affection of so many Torino fans, who loved me and told me that my choice to go to Spain was a mistake.”
“I want to play in the Champions League. I want to move forward in my career. I want to restore what has been lost in the last few years. I want to start playing again. ”
After playing just 11 games in all competitions for Atletico, the 29-year-old wants to rebuild his career once more in his home town of Verona. (Source: Squawka)
